WP Weekly Photo Challenge: Color

Weekly Photo Challenge

This week’s Challenge is Color, and I chose a collage as I have plenty of color-pictures.

The vibrant pink beanie is a gift that I had very good use for this cold spring. The mirror with the painted man hung on the wall in a shop for african handicraft. The colorful cupboards can be found in the cloakroom at Fotografiska –  a huge, private museum of photography in Stockholm. And Ollio’s street art in Göteborg is something I’ve mentioned here earlier. Color is essential to me.

    • Color is a simple way of energizing public spaces. During the last 15 years Swedish interior design has been very pale and minimalistic. Now, as a reaction, we see lots of dark colors. Velvet textures and tassels are suddenly popular.

    • This wall art is unique in Göteborg. Normally, there is some grafitti and tagging around. But this is a commissioned job and the artist, Ollio, is a highly educated professional.

    • The guy with the hat, painted on wood, is one of several nice portraits. Possibly from west Africa. I looked around that shop very briefly, but I will go back. Looking into a happy face is a good way of starting a day – perhaps the mirror will end up in my home.
