postaday, Turkiet, Wordpress Weekly Photo Challenge

Yesterday, outside a shop of antiques in the Turkish city Kas, I saw this beautiful door. It is my entry for this week’s WordPress photo Challenge “ZigZag”.

    • Yes, it is like a puzzle, consisting of many small pieces of wood. Wood must have been expensive at the Turkish coast, at least compared to Sweden (that is filled with trees.)

    • Nice to hear that, Stefano. I guess it once was covered with paint, perhaps monochrome green? And now the patina makes the door look like a painting, in spite of its lack of colour.

    • Thank you, Leya. Lately I’ve seen decorative, but heavy old doors being used as tables in interior shops and magazines.

I'd love to hear your opinion!
